How is the spread calculated in a prop account?

In the prop account, spreads start from 0 pips, and the commission is $3 per lot traded (Indices has 0 commission fees). Only in the Live Challenge with a $1000 deposit, spreads start from 0.8 pips, and the commission is $6 per lot traded.
